elvis sandwich

The Elvis Sandwich

Complete this sentence: This sandwich could really use some … Heat.  I prefer warm sandwiches over cold ones.  I dunno why. I’ve always enjoyed hot, toasty sandwiches. Not greasy sandwiches, per se, I mean, even microwaved sandwiches are better than cold ones. Like, toss a ham and cheese into the hot box for a couple of seconds and I’m good.  Of course this doesn’t work with *all* sandwiches… I mean a PB&J just doesn’t work all warmed up — unless it’s an Elvis (Peanut butter, sliced banana, bacon, honey (optional), white bread… grilled)– I tried an Elvis sandwich once out of curiosity. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. I mean, I wouldn’t go out of my way to make one again.

Jr. Mints

What is your least favorite candy? I’ve been thinking about this for a little while and I simply can’t think of a candy I don’t like. I know that this question doesn’t ask for a for a candy that I don’t like, but for my least favorite candy. But to tell y’all the truth I don’t have a hierarchy of candy. I’ve been sitting here for a few moments trying to think of a candy that’s my least favorite and nothing comes to mind.. Right now, I kinda like chocolate more than most, but there are all kinds of chocolate, and I don’t have one that I like over all the others.  Having said all of that, there have been some Jr. Mints sitting in the stash for a  while, so I suppose that I’m not digging Jr. Mints for the nonce. Though I do like them usually. I’m just not digging them at the moment.

Sign of the Virgo

What sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?  I was born under the sign of the Virgo. No, I don’t believe in astrology as it’s presented. But here’s the long and short of it. There have been and will be millions of people on this great world of ours born on the same day I was. Millions! This includes my twin sister. There were even more born under the same astrological sign — could be billions. I dunno. There’s no way in the world that those millions upon millions of people share the same personality traits that I have – even generally. I know my twin sister doesn’t. So yeah, astrology just doesn’t seem logical to me.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.  So there’s this person I watch on Youtube. He doesn’t have a huge following, but I like watching him. He plays this game called Viscera Cleanup Detail, and I found him when I was researching the game before buying it. I bought the game after watching his let’s play of the game. I, personally had to give up on the game because the physics drive me insane. I tried, I really tried, and I liked it for what it does, but I honestly couldn’t deal with the physics. If someone made a game with the same premise and without the wonky physics, I’d totally play that game. However, this guy, LeeSuss, he really seems to like this game, and I like watching him play it. Anyway, this is a new “map” of the game and I started watching it this week. If I can’t play it, at least I can watch it. Anyway, here’s the first video of his new let’s play if you’re interested.

Oh, I love the Jr. Mints candy. I hardly ever buy it though, because it seems to be more expensive than a regular candy bar. … Have you ever found a birthday twin (besides your actual twin)? Maybe not the same year, but the same day. I have, and she lives in our town, too. I don’t really know her, but we wish each other happy b.d. every year. 🙂

I have met some birthday twins over the years. The latest was a lady who was studying in the same program (English) in the college I attended not to long ago. We’ve lost touch since, but we used to wish each other happy birthday on Facebook every year.

Yes, the way I know of my birthday twin is through a local FB page. She’s a teacher at a high school I went to many years ago. We were talking about how the high school is haunted, which I knew, but she had some more information. So then we discovered we had the same birth date. 🙂

Ah, I don’t put my birthday on the Facespace… other than to wish my twin (and birthday twins) a happy birthday. I’m way too private to put personal information online. ^_^
