Words are hard

Words are hard today (fatigue strikes again… CPAP not helping *at all*). So I’m gonna post a bunch of pictures I’ve been playing with in Photoshop. Let me know what y’all think.

This one I wanted to get rid of the grey clouds are covering the ruins in the background and kind of bring out those ruins without emphasizing the foreground too much. Since the grey moves in 3D, it looks fine in the game, but in still shots — not so much. I also added some more snow so that the haze makes more sense.  It was really difficult to blend the grey and not make it as noticeable.

So in this one I wanted to see if I could make it not dark and bring out the details without making the bright details in the back too bright. Not easy at all, and I’m not sure I got it completely right, but it was fun trying. ^_^  I also made it into an old timey photo just for fun because it looked like it would make a good old timey photo.

And that’s all I have energy for. It’s fun playing in Photoshop, even if I’m just messing with my Skyrim screenshots.  Thanks for your patience while I show them off, dear reader. Hopefully I’ll have the energy to post more later.

I forgot one!  I wanted to try and make a “painting” without using the painting filter, so I tried this one:

The clouds were really difficult because any time I tried to increase the contrast, they disappeared. So annoying. >_<

Okay, that’s enough for now. ^_^

  1. Wow! Just wow! I’m so impressed that’s all I can say. I’ve tried countless times to edit my photos and have found I little talent to do so. Yours came out great. Hope you’ve gotten some rest.

    • Thanks! A lot of times there’s quite a bit that can be done automatically with Photoshop’s auto filters, then it’s just a bunch of fiddling. ^_^ A whole lot of fiddling… hahaha! But some pictures can be made to look way better just running a few filters on them (auto contrast, auto color, auto something I can’t remember right now…). That’s how I started out anyway.

It’s not rest I’m lacking… my body just isn’t dredging up any energy no matter how much sleep I get. >_< Stupid body. Ha! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

  2. I like the first one, except it looks (on the monitor, but it may look different on YOUR monitor) as if it is snowing. Was that intentional? You probably know more about Photoshop than I do by now.
