A busy day

A few years back, we bought a sectional couch so that the furbabies could snuggle up with us while I do things like surf the interwebs or crochet. It worked out for a few years, but after a while, the recliner portion of the sectional started to… tilt to one side. My sizeable girth was just too much for the poor thing. It’s not a noticeable tilt if one just looks at it, but my back sure did start complaining about it. >_<  So a week or so ago, we went down to La-Z-Boy and bought me a recliner… Why a recliner? Well, one of the problems I’m having is that the sectional only had an arm on one side, which is why I kind of tilted to the other. Also, this recliner has a 500 pounds weight limit.  That’s more than twice what I weigh, so I’m good.

Poptart sleep

Not a happy camper

Today was the day they delivered my new recliner, and now it’s a matter of: Where is a good spot for this piece of furniture? I’d picked out the spot where I’m sitting right now, but it’s just not quite working out. :-/  My body hurts too much to move furniture around right now though, so I’ll leave it here for the moment. 🙂 The dogs are not happy with this turn of affairs because we took their cuddle spots away. We bought an ottoman for them to sleep on, which I’ll put beside my chair, but it won’t be the same, I know, but that’s the best I can do. Hopefully the arrangement I have in mind will work better for them. I know they’d much rather be on my lap, but they can’t have everything…

Anyway, with the dog walker coming over, and the delivery being made today, and the transfer of furniture from one area of the house to the other, it’s been a busy day today. My body has let me know in no uncertain terms that it has had enough of my shenanigans and I need to stop for the rest of the day. And probably tomorrow as well. Maybe the next day too. We’ll see.

This chair sure is comfortable though.
