I am tired, y’all. I’ve been sick for almost three weeks now — and I ain’t talking about my usual ailments. This cold I have has taken up residence in my lungs and it shows no signs of moving out. Whenever I do so much as get up to use the toilet, I’m coughing for days afterwards. I can’t even carry on a simple conversation without coughing and gasping for breath. It’s freaking annoying. And what’s really annoying is that it’s not consistent. I felt well enough to go out and get the mail the other day and I was all, “Yay! I’m getting better!” But nope, it was a temporary thing because not even hours after doing that, I was back to coughing up a lung. And I’m not even coughing anything up 90% of the time! It’s a dry cough. Which is annoying in and of itself. >_<
Anyway, I didn’t want to bitch about my coughing, though that is the cause of me not posting much because it’s the source of my increased fatigue… I feel better for the most part — as better as I can, all things considered — but I have this cough that won’t go away. So… yeah.
Anyway (again), I’ve been spending a lot of time just watching videos, playing video games (when I can concentrate) and futzing around in Photoshop. I’ve been working on our mod for Fallout 4 which is incredibly time consuming, but hey it gives me something to concentrate on. But I have to be in the mood to work on that. So far though, I’ve redone three new suitcases, two more duffle bags (that’s how the game spells it) and two more coolers. The duffle bags are pretty tricky though, especially with lettering. In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, here are screenshots:
I don’t have a picture of the third suitcase because I forgot to take one. 🙂 These particular retextures are for the Nuka World DLC for Fallout 4, which has these flavors of the “Nuka Cola” featured. That’s where the logos come from.
Other than that, it’s just been playing — either Skyrim or Fallout 4. I’ve briefly played a game called Two Point Hospital, and I enjoyed it. If you like building games, punny games, and games with no combat, this is a fun game you should try it.
I’m not a world builder per se, but I liked it. I understand that it’s basically an updated version of an older game called Theme Hospital, but from what I’ve heard, if you liked the older game, you’ll like this game.
I watched TV for the first time in almost three years. Then I remembered why I don’t watch television anymore… flipping commercials. Like, five minutes of show and twenty minutes of commercial. Commercial breaks so long, I forget what show I’m watching. I hate it. Yeah, it was a recorded show, and I fast forwarded through the commercials, but that’s not the point. The point is I hate commercials. So, I don’t watch television because they are a necessary evil if one wants to watch television. The new Doctor Who looked pretty good though. I watched the first episode and I liked the new Doctor. Very promising.
But mostly these last few days have been spent setting up my Skyrim game so it can look beautiful. I mean, damn. It looks beautiful. Skyrim always looks beautiful, sometimes — with mods — it just looks awesome. And I love virtually walking through Skyrim (not actually virtually walking through it — I don’t have Skyrim VR), but as virtually as I can. 🙂 It’s still pretty awesome. As an aside, I don’t even want to know what a dragon would look like up close and personal. I’ll keep that for the little screen and let people braver than myself play with actual, uh… virtual dragons. ^_^
I also made this little thing while I was messing around in Photoshop. It’s a screenshot from one of my Skyrim games, and it was sitting in my folder, again, I was messing round with the render light setting and thought it gave the snow an interesting texture (this is the infinite light). There isn’t much color in the picture to begin with so I decided not to make it monochrome.
Here’s the original:
Aaaannnd I just ran out of energy. Blah. I’m telling y’all this cough is really kicking my ass. If it’s not gone by next week, I’ll call a doctor. Dunno what they can do, but I guess that’s the next step.
