I don’t know. I suck at cipher games.

What is a Hallow? Well, “hallowed” means sacred or “blessed” so a Hallow would be a Saint,  I’m guessing. Since All Hallows Evening takes place before All Saint’s Day.

What popular fall festival activity did the Romans bring to Britain when they invaded? Bobbing for apples.

What are these lyrics from and which band?

“You always keep me guessin’, I never seem to know what you are thinkin’.
And if a fella looks at you, it’s for sure your little eye will be a-winkin’.
I get confused, ’cause I don’t know where I stand,
And then you smile, and hold my hand.
Love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you.

I know the song… I think it’s called Spooky! but I can’t remember who sang it. Was it a one hit wonder? I dunno. The song was popular in the 1980’s though because we sang it a lot in high school.

In the correct spelling of the Halloween, where is the apostrophe placed? The holiday is “All Hallow’s Evening” the day before All Hallow’s Day or All Hallow’s Eve or Hallow’en

10 Frankenstein was created by who, and how did they come up with the idea and why? I wrote a paper about this in college, so I have an advantage here. The story of Frankenstein and his monster was written by Mary Shelley and she purportedly came up with idea during a conversation while on holiday and wrote the book over a weekend as a challenge or something.  It’s an interesting book.

11 What was Bram Stoker’s original name for Dracula? Alacard? Nosferatu? I don’t know. I never actually read the book.

12 What was the first feature length werewolf movie called and when did it come out? That was a bit before my time… but I vaguely remember it… I don’t remember.

13 Name this Horror film.

The Birds by Alfred Hitchcock.

I’m not a huge horror movie/horror story fan, so there’s a lot I don’t know. But this was fun.

Ha! I said I don’t know or I don’t remember for at least a third of the questions of the questions. 🙂 And bobbing for apples was complete snark — okay, that’s a lie, it’s like a half remembered something I might have heard somewhere that might possibly be true, but I’m not sure. 🙂
