A tiny rant…

So I might be offline for a day or two… maybe. I have to reset my computer, again.  Damn. I hate planned obsolescence. This stupid thing isn’t really that old, not even two years old, but it’s acting funky again and things are pulling loose here and there, and the virus program tells me that there’s no virus… Whatever!

me right now

Sigh.  I miss the days when we could buy sh—tuff and it was built to last. I can’t even crack this silly thing open to clean the dust out of it, and that, dear reader, pisses me off.  When laptops first came out, you could rebuild them if you wanted to, but nope… can’t even clean this one. >_< I don’t even want to think about how much crap is inside this thing with all of the animal dander that’s in my house — three dogs and a cat you know. I can dust the top of the keyboard off and in not even two days it will be dusty again.

Anyway, just thought I’d let y’all know that I need to nuke the thing again, then reset it all up… again.  >_< Because it really is acting wonky to the point of not being usable. I’m not sure what caused that wonkiness this time, but I have an idea.   If this keeps up, I may go over to the other side and get a Mac. Just kidding! I can’t play my games on a Macbook. I don’t think I can anyway. I’m pretty sure they play better on a PC. I know Doug has a computer specifically for his games, and everything else is Apple. Anyway, may as well get to purging this thing… again.

Catch y’all on the flip side.

It sounds like time for a redoing the OS. Yuck. Been there, done that. Hate it. You have my deepest sympathies.

You can’t do a lot of gaming on the Mac. I have one and I don’t like it much. It’s okay for basic stuff, but it’s hard to find software and things that take one stroke on a PC are a whole freaking ritual on a Mac.

The thing about redoing your OS is that you need patience. It took me a whole day to do this one. It works fine and no one was more astonished than me when it actually worked. I had my important data backed up, so I lost very little in the process but it was SO slow. I watched a lot of TV movies while it ground its way through Windows 10.

    Good luck!!!!!
