Sharing My World 1/28/19

So, I’ve been sick y’all. Really sick. Breathing isn’t easy right now. Ironically, I feel okay so long as I don’t do anything foolish… like move out of my chair to go to the bathroom or talk for too long. You know, the strenuous stuff in life. If I do something really daring like cook myself some food, then I go into a coughing fit that lasts for a while. It’s not fun. That’s why I haven’t been posting much. but I figure I can answer a few questions. 🙂 So here we go with Melanie’s Share Your World…

Are you thin or thick skinned? Are you easily offended or tend to let it just roll off your back like a duck does with water? This depends on a lot of things. Most of the time, I’m like a duck with water, I let the world slide off my back. But I am human and I have my buttons and if I’m in the right mood at the wrong time and someone says or does something that pushes one of those buttons, then god help that unfortunate soul because I will explode at them. I do not get “offended” as they do these days I get angry. And it’s generally flash in the pan angry – or a knee jerk reaction if you will. BAM! There, then gone. Anger is an emotion I tend not to hang on to for very long because it is exhausting and let me tell you something, dear reader, I’m already exhausted enough without adding anger on top of it. So, yeah, mostly I’m all about live and let live, but push one of my buttons and I might could blow up on someone’s face… for a moment or two, then I’m back to being mellow me.

How important are morals in a healthy society? What are the most important morals for citizens to have? Yeah, okay, so define “morals”. That which is amoral to someone — say having sex before marriage, or having sex at all — is completely okay to someone else. What defines a society is that a bunch of people got together and decided that their definition of morals and mores were basically the same so they’d stick together and agree to abide by them. Therefore the “most important” morals for a citizen to have are the ones defined the the society they live in. My particular society has a whole bunch of morals and mores that I don’t agree with at all (the aforementioned sex before marriage being one of them, though that’s changing) so my society can bite me when they talk of morals. Though I do agree with some of the “bigger” morals — it’s generally not a good idea to kill other people and society does frown on stealing other people’s property. So there’s that.

What will your epitaph be?

French toast, pancakes or waffles? I enjoy all three, but if I had to chose from the three, I would take waffles.

What were you grateful for this past week? So, as I mentioned above, I’ve been sick this past week (or so). Breathing is hard. Like… hard. Talking makes me cough. So I haven’t been doing much of anything. My sweetest hubby bought me a new shiney in the form of this game: Planet Coaster after I made him watch this guy build a really beautiful roller coaster (which you can watch here if you’re interested, the series is twelve videos long but the playlist only goes to seven). Anyway, that guy is amazing and I found his channel through his Parkitect builds. Now, I like Parkitect and I enjoyed it for about 100 hours or so, but it’s pretty limiting. When I saw what Planet Coaster had to offer, I was all… hmmmmmm. So, I spent all day yesterday making this:

Crocodile pen

So that, dear reader, is a crocodile pen in a new park that I’m building that will kind of be like a “roadside zoo” or a reclaimed national park or something. No big roller coasters because I know nothing about building roller coasters, but I figured I would make a bunch of animal pens (or enclosures) and some people movers to go between them with some flat rides like carousals and Ferris wheels in between, stuff like that. See the little guy in the lower left hand corner? That’s an animatronic archer, and he’s there for scale because he’s about the size of the people in the game. I got that idea from another YouTuber here: though I had my idea of a roadside zoo before I saw this video. ^_^ I’m not nicking their idea… I promise. These guys are way more thematic than I am and way more talented. Anyway, I’m gonna leave y’all with more screen shots of what I built. Remember, it’s not supposed to be “natural”, it’s meant to look man-made. Plus, I’ve only had this game for two days… I’m still trying to figure out where everything is and how to use it. It took me half an hour to figure out where they hid the screenshots. >_< Enjoy!

Wow. Mad zoo skills, hmmmm? Now do you know if your chest congestion is just a bad cold/flu residual or something like bronchitis or pneumonia. Obviously the one is to be endured, the others can be pretty bad if not seen to. Not that I’m saying you haven’t seen to them. Um. My on-line friend, COPD4Real deals with COPD (chronic breathing and lung problems) and she might have some good advice to help you out. She’s on Facebook too if you want her info. Take care and thanks for Sharing Your World! It’s lovely, you delicate, feminine flower, you! 😛

I haven’t been to the doctor (yet) so I can only surmise that it’s a chest cold. If it keeps on or gets worse, I’ll go to the doctor’s.

I have an appointment next week (I think) which I made months ago. If I’m not feeling better at least the doctor will have something to do besides talk about medicine. ^_^
