I like these kinds of questions.

So, I saw these questions on Melanie’s site here. I’ll post them without answers first, then answer them. She got them from Rory’s site, here. I’m way too tired to type out the site names, if you’ve been reading me for a while, you know who I’m talking about. If you haven’t, well… click the links and find out (click them anyway, and give them some love). So here are the questions without answers… it’s more fun to answer them yourself before you read my answers. I totally have not read anyone else’s answers. I’m gonna do that after I hit “publish’ to see if we got the same answers. ๐Ÿ™‚

A cowboy rode into town on Friday. He stayed in town for three days and rode out on Friday. How is that possible?

A rooster laid an egg on top of the barn roof. Which way did it roll?

A truck driver is going down a one way street the wrong way, and passes at least ten cops. Why is he not caught?

A farmer had 752 sheep and took one shot that got them all. How did he do it?

What word is spelled incorrectly in every single dictionary?

What starts with โ€œeโ€ and ends with โ€œeโ€ but only has one letter in it?

What two keys canโ€™t open any door?

A man went outside in the pouring rain with no protection, but not a single hair on his head got wet. How come?

Would you rather be trapped in an elevator full of men with BO, three soaked dogs, a basket filled with week old smelly socks or a box filled with used nappies?

Would you rather look like an octopus, act like an octopus or be an octopus?

If you had the worldโ€™s attention for 30 seconds, what would you say?

Would you rather be able to copy and paste in real life, or undo in real life?

A cowboy rode into town on Friday. He stayed in town for three days and rode out on Friday. How is that possible? Friday is the name of his horse.

A rooster laid an egg on top of the barn roof. Which way did it roll? It didn’t roll at all. Roosters don’t lay eggs.

A truck driver is going down a one way street the wrong way, and passes at least ten cops. Why is he not caught? Hmmm. My first thought is that the cops are going the correct way, but then I’m thinking that perhaps the truck driver is driving an ambulance or a fire truck? Edited to add: Melanie got this one. He was walking.

A farmer had 752 sheep and took one shot that got them all. How did he do it? He took a picture or “shot” a photograph.

What word is spelled incorrectly in every single dictionary? That would be “incorrectly” Unless it’s a bad dictionary.

What starts with โ€œeโ€ and ends with โ€œeโ€ but only has one letter in it? An envelope, unless someone puts two letters in it to save on postage.

What two keys canโ€™t open any door? The major key or the minor key (musically speaking). Unless someone’s trying to open the door to someone’s heart, or they’re playing a game where music is the key Edited to add: I’ve read other answers and they include: Monkey, donkey, and turkey. I still like my answers, but I guess those work too.

A man went outside in the pouring rain with no protection, but not a single hair on his head got wet. How come? He was bald. Or he stood under something. I mean just because he’s outside doesn’t mean he’s in the rain.

Would you rather be trapped in an elevator full of men with BO, three soaked dogs, a basket filled with week old smelly socks or a box filled with used nappies? Okay, we’ve come to the end of the type of questions I like. I hate “would you rather” questions with a white hot passion. I’d rather not be stuck in either, thanks. ๐Ÿ˜›

Would you rather look like an octopus, act like an octopus or be an octopus? If I had my druthers, and no choice in the matter, I’d rather be an octopus, they’re pretty smart.

If you had the worldโ€™s attention for 30 seconds, what would you say? “Get off my lawn, and get those cameras out of my face.” I’ve never wanted my “15 minutes of fame.” Someone else is more than welcome to it.

Would you rather be able to copy and paste in real life, or undo in real life? This question makes no sense. I’m not being facetious, it honestly makes no sense to me. Copy and paste reality? Undo reality? Like, I wouldn’t want to do either.

Sorry for no pictures on this one. I’m typing later than I usually do, and I’m just tired. I probably should have waited until tomorrow, but whatever. ๐Ÿ™‚ I was bored and these seemed like interesting questions.

I never ever thought of actually answering those questions ‘honestly’ nor even thinking about them, because Rory usually gives questions that demand silly, outrageous answers. But that walking one was too blatant to be ignored and answered in a silly way. Well so were the horse (which I didn’t get at all), and the envelope (also which I didn’t get)….I’m very pleased to know someone who has so much common sense!! ๐Ÿ˜›

I have the same answer to some, the rooster, the bald, the Friday, and incorrectly. The truck driver I figured the cops were all going the wrong way too.
Last question made no sense to me either!

    Thanks for the fun, Willow.

Thanks for playing the tag Willow, some great answers in here, of course many are as you have pointed out – common sense, of course Roosters don’t lay eggs, but not everyone even spots that ๐Ÿ™‚

The question at the end is really about making sense in the traditional sense of the word – it is a reflective question, but realists and pragmatists alike struggle with it – l know l do ๐Ÿ™‚

    Once more, thanks again ๐Ÿ™‚

The rooster question was one I learned as a kid. I’ve never forgotten it. As soon as I saw it, I was… “Oh, these are riddles. I like riddles!” Thanks for posting them.

No pics were fine for me – and good answers from you. And my only comment is there are a few things I would “undo” if I could – but maybe good we can’t do that –

I had a long, philosophical post about being able to rewind (or undo) things in our lives on my old blog. But the long and the short of it is that is wouldn’t be possible, because we — all of us — exist in the same space and time, and there’s no way (that I know of) for one person to turn back time for everyone and everything. I mean there are 7 billion people on this planet alone, if I had the ability to undo something even if it’s to unspill a cup of coffee, I would be resetting that bit of time for all 7 billion people… not to mention the rest of the universe… and that’s just unfathomable. To me at least. ^_^ Best to leave time and space alone. IMHO

I fully agree- big time. (but I would still do a couple things different if I could – but then I did not have foreknowledge at that time and so it would be impossible as well).
I also have a saying that I tell folks a lot.
I remind them that they are “right where they are supposed to be.”
My faith is what connects to that thought because I believe one day in heaven we will see why all the small things happened – and the large – and we will see why closed doors, boots in the head, poor choices, or even costly mistakes – why they all can “work for good” and how they helped shape us and connect us to others.
        I really believe that –
“we are right where we need to be”
and there is such contentment in that –
and I sense that with you – especially when you seem to objective about “rewinding” ๐Ÿ™‚
